Martin, T. R., & Blackwell, C. W. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press. Another book that looks at the complexities of Alexander and the totality of his humanity, from warrior to deep thinker.
Lane Fox, R. (2005). <i>[https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0143035134/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0143035134&linkCode=as2&tag=dailyh0c-20&linkId=554d6abe26768d5c4239cdc36de24cd2" Alexander the Great]</i>. London: Penguin. This is written in a more novel style, very much like Freeman's later work. Again, a relatively easy read.
Randall, B. (2004). <i>[https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007PUREY8/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B007PUREY8&linkCode=as2&tag=dailyh0c-20&linkId=a7c25d9e7322963b31a103a44f249c52 Alexander the Great: Macedonian King and Conqueror] (1st ed)</i>. New York: Rosen Pub. Group. A more classical presentation that looks at Alexander's background, his upbringing, and how these influence him as he sets about on his campaigns.
