Edward Whelan is a freelance historian and writer. He studied modern history and classical civilization and has a Ph.D. in History from the National University of Ireland - Maynooth. Edward worked as a tutor at Maynooth and later worked in an archive. He has published a book on Irish history and also authored several peer-reviewed that appeared in several academic journals. In the past, he has also worked as a volunteer on local historical and archaeological projects.
